Looking back:
This week in the mornings, we studied the story of Mufaro’s beautiful daughters as part of our work on stories from other cultures. This story is from Zimbabwe. In the afternoons, we looked at why the Nile is so important to the Egyptians, as well as exploring chromatography as part of our work on Take One Picture 2019, mixing science with art. On Thursday we had an ECO themed afternoon, where we looked at taking care of bees and the oceans.
Year 4 – Pupils’ Highlights:
- Writing my Mufaro’s daughters story
- The ECO afternoon
- P.E. Athletics with Premiere sports
- Studying about the Nile

Family discussion questions:
- What can we do to help the bees?
- What can we do to help the oceans?
- Who is Mufaro?

Looking forward:
This week the children will have be looking at Perimeter in maths. In English we will be looking at some of the African stories of Anancy and writing our own African story.
