Year 4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 7th June
Friday 7th June – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the children have been learning all about wrens. The class has been looking at the beautifully illustrated book ‘The Lost Words’. The children have also been working on dividing numbers by 10 or a 100 to produce decimals. The most children completed the MTC on Friday. They were relaxed and confident and took it all in their stride. I was very proud of their attitudes and thoughtfulness to others.
Questions to ask at home -
- What can you tell what you know about the wren?
- Can you describe a wren?
- If dividing by 10 how many places to the right does a number move?
- How many tenths in 1?
- How many hundredths in 1 tenth?
Children’s highlights of the week

- Art – word explosions!

Looking forward:
This week, the children will be; exploring food chains in science, investigating European countries in geography, swimming and learning about water safety and studying the work of Andy Warhol in art and design.
