Year 4 - Looking Back and Forth Friday 8th July

Friday 8th July– Looking Back & Forth in Year 4

Looking back:

This week, the children explored the idea of twisting a well-known story into a darker more sinister ending.  At first, the children found this a little on the unusual, but soon got into the spirit of the thing.  The Weetabix adverts helped quite a bit! We studied data handling and symmetry in maths.

The children in the afternoons, have used their dioramas to create animated stories, using the digi blue animation software.  Another great highlight of the week was the fantastic sports day with splendid weather!

Building On

  • Knowledge of traditional stories
  • Shape and shape work

Questions to ask at home

  • How can you make a twisted ending?
