Year 4 we 13th July
I can't believe the weather was so good again last week! It allowed us to go on the field for a final game of rounders (the children's choice) and we also had a super maths afternoon. We are looking at the pros and cons of zoos and we will complete this work next week. We learnt about area and perimeter and we completed a science assessment. We also had two excellent assemblies - one with Mrs Hamilton about Elizabethfontein and a Mad Science assembly - great fun!
We are going to have a busy final full week as I have manged to squeeze in some art and design and technology - we are making chairs (miniature ones, I hasten to add). If any parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/other adults would like to come and help with sawing, gluing and general construction skills, they would be very welcome on Wednesday and/or possibly Thursday afternoon (depending on how quickly we get on). Just turn up and see Mrs Williams for a pass - any time from 1;30 would be great, even if you can only spare an hour.
I am feeling sad that this will be my final week as a full-time class teacher but I have had a wonderful year that has gone by far too quickly. I have loved teaching these children - they have been an absolute pleasure.
