Year 4 we 17 November
What an excellent end fo the week! The children really enjoyed the various activities offered to them on Friday afternoon. They liked being able to choose what they wanted to do and having the time to complete it at their own pace. There was a variety of activities - something for everyone. Yoga was very popular, as was creating a piece of art on stones, The scavenger hunt also attracted lots of pupils and they also loved creating sculptures in the style of Andy Goldsworthy using natural materials. Some children built a den out of fallen branches and I can't wait to look at the sprites which are on the trees. It was great to see all of the children so involved and joining with with children from other year groups. They all behaved brilliantly and the staff also really enjoyed the afternoon. Hopefully this will be something to repeat at a later date.
We worked hard all week - writing about Christopher Columbus, consolidating our subraction skills, making circuits, writing initials using basic programing software and many other things - there's never a dull moment in year 4!
Next week we will continue our work on explorers and electricity and we will be continuing with work on subtraction and rounding. Children have a new set of tables to learn for Thursday's test as well as their usual homework.
Looking forward to seeing you all at parents' evenings on Tuesday and Thursday.#
Have a great weekend!
