Year 4 we 17th February
What an amazing half term and how it has flown!
Our week started with a session looking at dinosaur fossils - I couldn't see a thing by the time we finished as my glasses had a thin coating of sand from all the furious brushing that had been going on. Millie the dinosaur was a super surprise - she was great fun and we also enjoyed not only writing our newspaper report about Millie's visit, but also interviewing the year 1 children to find out their reactions. French day was also great fun with a variety of activities - a cafe, art work, work on the computers and learning about France and Paris in particular.
The children also enjoyed both PE sessions - I was very impressed with their gymnastic abilities - and we are all getting better at Hi-5 netball.
After half term, PE will generally be on Tuesday and Friday afternoons but I would appreciate it if children could have their PE kits back in school on the first day back just in case. We will be carrying on with our chronological unit in history and I have set some homework for this. I thought the children might want to start this over the holiday - I have also put the details on our class page. Our first English topic is likey to be fairy stories - but not was we know them and in science we will be looking at habitats.
I hope you all have a great week off.
