Year 4 we 3rd March

DON'T FORGET TO COME AND LOOK AT YOUR CHILDREN'S BOOKS ON THURSDAY 9TH MARCH AFTER SCHOOL (until 5pm only)

Well, the week ended with a very exciting PE lesson when we all played indoor hockey (we were going outside to practise our Hi-5 skills but it wouldn't stop raining for long enough).  Everyone appeared to enjoy racing round the hall but the children did it very quietly.  We also had a super dance lesson with Miss Oates from Premier Sports.  In English, we began our work on fairytales and this will continue to the next couple of weeks and the children also really enjoyed performing plays..

Next week we will be looking at a variety of ideas in maths and we will also begin our sewing work in D & T.  If anyone is available to help with this on Thursday afternoon from about 1.30, it would be much appreciated as tying knots and anchoring thread for 32 children can be quite challenging! 

Don't forget to return the newspaper photograph permission slips please and also the musicians' concert applications - lots of children were interested in doing this and it will be nice to see the class so well represented.
