Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 11th October 2019
Y6 – Friday 11th October 2019 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6

Looking back:
The theme this week has been really focusing on improving and completing our work towards the Exhibition. English has seen us publishing work about gramophones and phonographs; we have also spent time looking at how technology has changed over the years – please do see the many photographs to see if families recognise any of the devices from their youth! Flight continues to be the focus for our afternoon sessions with Mrs. Cooper, along with lettering and the Bible with Mrs. Benson.
We enjoyed our first real session with our buddies on Friday. The Year 6 were brilliant at leading the little ones into a whole school assembly and they set the best example. Thankfully, the weather was dry and they were able to enjoy an extended playtime together. The Buddies are back!

Looking forward:
- This coming week will see the class complete their work for the Exhibition. It’s going to be busy busy busy. If any parents are free to help out at the Gizmobots workshop, please contact Mrs. Timmins or Mrs. Cooper for further details (this Tuesday and Wednesday across the whole school). Thursday sees the Year 6 off to the Alexandra Stadium for their visit to learn about the Crucial Crew event. It’s also our Harvest celebration on Friday – full deails are in this week’s newsletter.
