Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 12th January 2018
Dear Year 6 and Families
Firstly, on behalf of the Year 6 team, may we say a huge "Thank You" to our families for the very kind and generous cards and gifts from Christmas. It was a lovely thought from you all and we enjoyed teaching the Year 6 so much during the Autumn Term.
It's now 2018 and as our Year 6 webpage says, it's a big year for you. What a start you've made. Some fabulous writing in English about our new character - Charles Maxim - from the class novel "Rooftoppers" by Katherine Rundell. Maths has seen us working with 7-digit numbers and then moving onto temperatures involving negatives too.
Mrs. Cowell's been busy honing your French skills, along with your hockey practice too. (Although not together, not like Charles and his reading/riding of a horse!). On Thursday, you enjoyed working on your hat research with Mrs. Benson too.
The class wanted to say that they really enjoyed:
- hockey training with Mr. Bentham
- composing a biography for Charles Maxim
- athletics training with Mr. Townsend
- working on their hat research.
It's been a great first week back, Year 6. Well done.
