Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 15th December 2017
Once again, the first section of this week's review has been compiled by Tom Boardman and Harry Shanahan, who have composed the following review, based upon contributions from many Year 6 pupils.
This week, the Year 6 pupils have particularly enjoyed having a special guest in from Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School - Mr. Capewell, their P.E. teacher. He has been teaching them some useful hockey skills. The class also enjoyed writing the famous novel 'Beowulf' in English with Mrs. Timmins. On Wednesday - in science - we did some very mouth-watering experiments with Skittles sweets and jelly snakes, however the Year 6s were sadly not allowed to eat the jelly concoctions. Also on Wednesday the class enjoyed doing some brain-boggling questions to do with adding fractions. On Thursday, the children enjoyed singing some Christmassy songs for our Carol Service and to put them in the Christmas mood. Also on Thursday, a brilliant team of swimmers from Y6 and Y5 got to go and represent Goostrey School in a swimming gala, and they did amazing, bring back 10 gold in total and they won all the relays. Friday was a packed day as it held another dodgeball lesson for the class as they played their first match with Premier Sports coaches.

Message from Mrs. Timmins now:
Year 6, you have been superb this week. It is getting close to Christmas and it's been a long term, but you have continued to work really hard, reaching very high expectations set by the adults around you. We're very proud of what you have produced in all lessons this week.
One more week to go and then the Christmas fun can really begin.
