Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 20th October 2017

This has been such an industrious week in Year 6, with the class being extremely busy preparing for our exhibition next week - all based on water.

With Mrs. Timmins, they have been beavering away, publishing their work for display.  Each pupil has produced four texts to impress you with: lots of knowledge about the River Thames is just waiting to be shared with you.  Mrs. Cowell has worked on their marine habitats, completing their artwork, and designing a habitat or two (not to mention a new creature).

As their Year 6 teachers, we are extrememly proud of how our pupils have worked over their first half term with us.  They have proven that they are capable of working dilligently and producing some fantastic work right across the curriculum.  We are really looking forward to sharing their work - and a dance - with you next week.

Please remember that our performance is on Thursday evening at 6:45pm.  The class will need to be in their classroom at 6:30pm please.

1.  How good is your balance during your Hindu dancing?

2.  Tell me about the marine creature you have created.

3.  Explain what the Thames Barrier is for and how it works?

4.  Describe what it was like during "The Great Stink".  (Be warned - don't ask this at mealtimes!)
