Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 7th December 2018
Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 7th December 2018
This week, our class has been enjoying the writing about Beowulf and how the story is unfolding. We've just met Grendel - not the friendliest of characters. We've looked at shape in maths and we shall be consolidating this next week, before turning our attention to algebra.
It has been and "electric" week too, with lots of practical science on Wednesday afternoon, and an assessment on Thursday. This unit is almost complete so that we may continue with another area in January. The class has also continued to learn about biomes and climates around the world.
Next week will be busy ensuring that topics are completed before the Christmas break and - of course - practising for our Carol Service the following week. If you haven't yet returned the pink permission slips for the rehearsals and concerts, please do so this week, so that they can be sorted in plenty of time. If your child does not return the permission slip, he/she will be placed in a Key Stage One class with some ongoing work as we are unable to take your child to the church without your written permission. Thank you for your help with this.
Kind regards
The Year 6 Team
