Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 10th January 2025

Y6 – Friday 10th January 2025 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6

Please enjoy looking at our class photos on our website - thank you!

Looking back:

It’s been a super, if snowy and frosty, return to school this week and it was great to welcome all of our pupils back into school on Monday.  We are aware that this will be an extra special year with lots of exciting things to look forward to in 2025 before our pupils move onto pastures new.  But…..before that happens, we have settled back into our routine, enjoying lots of lessons.  In English, we have begun to read Neil Gaiman’s version of the traditional tale “Hansel and Gretel”.  Maths has seen us introduced to the topic of “Ratio” whilst gymnastics has been Mrs Murdock’s focus on Friday.  With Mrs Cowell, our pupils have started their study of the Stone Age; enjoyed reading Armin Greder’s story “The Island”; we have worked on creating positive community pebbles and begun to look at milliners with Mrs Riddell.  What a busy week to kick off 2025!
