Y6 – Friday 2022 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
It was great to see everyone back in class this week after the Easter break – we hope you all enjoyed some lovely time with families. We have been learning about ratio and scale factors in maths this week – new topics but we’re really securing these quickly. Revision towards our assessments will be a real focus now in the next couple of weeks as we aim to prepare the class for a calm approach.
Our afternoons continue to be filled with a mix of subjects and topics and the pupils enjoyed a really interesting discussion this week, learning about the story of Eweka! Hat designing proved popular with some very artistic creations in the making. Rounders is the subject for PE this half term – great to see the class enjoying the field again with Mr Biggs.

Looking forward:
- We are continuing our preparation towards SATs with a focus on reading comprehension, grammar and spelling, whilst maths will see us calculating with scale factors and statistics. Our study of Benin will continue along with our regular rich and varied curriculum.
