Y6 – Friday 24th November 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
A thoroughly busy and enjoyable week in Year 6. We have been working on our writing based upon Shackleton’s journey to Antarctica with some fabulous vocabulary and sentences this week. One skill that we have really worked on is working in pairs to peer-edit our work – what a success. Fractions have been our maths focus whilst our afternoons have seen us working on My Happy Mind; biomes around the world; climate zones; RE; gymnastics; and playing with buddies.

Finally – thank you for our chats at parents’ evenings this week: it was lovely to meet with you all and to discuss how our pupils have settled in.

Looking forward:
- We are shifting our focus in English to a different type of writing, whilst fractions will continue in maths. For our afternoon subjects, we are continuing with our current learning.
