Y6 – Friday 26th April 2024 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
This week, the Year 6 have been enjoying many different tasks, beginning with writing descriptions of various “impossible creatures” to support our new story by Katherine Rundell. We have got to grips with coordinates in maths and we can plot points, draw 2D shapes, and translate these across all four quadrants. We have spent time this week completing our nightlights – they look fantastic again and the children have been every-more creative with their designs and implementations. We spent time ‘on the floor’ creating historical timelines to support our work around the Stone Age, in addition to learning about the circulatory system of the human heart. For computing, we looked at online safety as well as producing graphs with torch data. Friday saw some very creative dance moves as the pupils devised, practised and performed some superb dances – maybe some budding choreographers in our class!

Looking forward:
- We are looking forward to continuing to work on all aspects of our learning. Dance will take place on Friday for PE. We are also focusing on our revision for the upcoming assessments so that we are fully prepared as possible.
