Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 2nd July 2021

Y6 – Friday 2nd July 2021 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6

Looking back:

Please do enjoy looking at our class photos this week – looks like they were all jiving away in PE!!

We’re enjoying our final few weeks here in Year 6, still with a real mix of activities throughout the last few days.  We’ve published our final piece of writing based on Hansel and Gretel and have enjoyed listening to Philip Pullman’s version of the story.  We’ve enjoyed calculating angles within regular polygons (we really did) for our maths sessions.  The pupils mixed science experiments with their Premier Sports session on Tuesday and continued to work on the art project “Take One Picture” with Mrs Cowell on Tuesday.  A large majority of the week has seen us practising our play script for “Ye Ha!” and we are so impressed with how well they have already learned their lines.  We’ve also chatted with the class about costumes – please chat with your child to see what they require and if you’ve any questions, drop us a line and we’ll be happy to clarify for you.  Our “wear what you want Wednesdays” are going down well with a great array of outfits – one in particular!!!!

Thank you to all the pupils and families for understanding about the change in day visit – this is something we had to do but the class seemed really pleased with the outcome.  Let’s see how adventurous we can be!

Next week sees a few different activities going on – please do keep checking our upcoming dates to keep on top of our final few weeks – thank you.
