Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 31st January 2025
Y6 – Friday 31st January 2025 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
Our last January day at primary school has gone by and it finished off a great week in Year 6 – please check out this week’s photos for a sneaky peek at our classroom antics! We have begun to look at the next section of our story, Hansel and Gretel, and we are looking at integrating dialogue into narratives; algebra has been an enjoyable new topic and we are beginning to really get to grips with this algebraic topic; Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace have been a focus of our topic in Science; we introduced the Mesolithic era into our historic timeline; we enjoyed looking around the book fair and then showing the books to our buddies; coding and fish tanks are something we worked on for ICT; and adaptation also popped into our learning. Thursday saw us looking at hats with Mrs Riddell and on Friday, Mrs Murdock helped us hone our own Goostrey “Hakkas” – just picture this: Year 6, stomping across the hall floor; rather loud chants emitting from them; facing being pulled – it was fantastic!
