Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 3rd March 2023
Y6 – Friday 3rd March 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Please note that our online booking system, for our Spring Term meetings with you, will open on Monday 6th March at 7:00pm and close on Friday 10th March at 7:00pm. Your children are invited to the meetings, if you choose to bring them. Thank you.
Looking back:
We have started our second half of Year 6 with a fantastic week back with the class enjoying a range of lessons. We have begun our new class story – “The Good Thieves” by the super children’s author, Katherine Rundell (although we’ve not yet worked out how a trilby hat is involved). Triangles – and their perimeters and areas – have been our focus in maths with another new formula added to our repertoire. We’ve finished and photographed our nightlights – the look amazing! A specially-important lesson on Wednesday saw a great discussion and task based upon keeping ourselves safe online – particularly thinking about how we present ourselves online. The Mesolithic era is our focus for historical and geographical learning and this week, Mrs Sant came to lead our first lesson with her for our music this half term. Friday rounded off with a great hockey session and we enjoyed playing with our buddies too. Why not enjoy having a look at our photos in this week’s gallery?

Looking forward:
- We are looking forward to continuing with our topics next week. Well done to Year 6 for continuing to get all their CGP revision books in. Marking these in class is identifying potential areas for revision, and also we are learning little tips and hints for our upcoming assessments.
