Looking back:
What a brilliantly busy week we’ve had again in Year 6. This week we have learned a little about the backstories for our characters from Gill Lewis’ “A Story Like The Wind” during English, whilst completing our study of formulae and shape in maths. Today, we began to consider line graphs and we plotted how the number of biscuits in a school staffroom (usually) diminishes throughout the day! Real-life maths problems, seriously!! During our afternoons, we have looked at hats from around the world; we have looked at the monument Stonehenge – both the real one and the (more impressive) structure built from biscuits – check out our photos to see this! The Beaker People formed part of our history topic whilst rounders was our focus for PE. As usual, we rounded off our week with a session with Buddies – always the highlight for us!

Looking forward:
- We are looking forward to another great week in Year 6. We will have a little change on Tuesday and Wednesday with Mrs Timmins teaching the afternoons whilst Mrs Cowell enjoys her residential to Delamere with Year 4.
- Thursday – Non-uniform day in return for donations to our Easter Hamper – our colour is RED!!!!
