Yr 4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 21st April
Friday 21st April– Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
The children came back with such a super attitude to their work. They completed their publishing of their Viking sagas and started their new maths unit on Fractions. We also went through the reading and GAPS tests from last term, so the children could see where they had scored well. In addition, any questions they didn’t answer as fully as they needed to. There were a few ‘D’oh’ moments, but I hope the children find the sessions worthwhile. In the afternoon, they did something amazing with biscuits with Mrs B! After finishing their post topic work for Vikings.
Questions to ask at home -
- What clues have you got about your new class book in English?
- What is a unit fraction?
- What is a non-unit fraction?
- Can you remember what a hyperbole is?
Housepoint Challenge!
If anyone can bring to school 5 examples of hyperboles and have them written down you will receive 5 housepoints!
