Friday 3rd May – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the class have been looking at twisted fairy tales, the ones where the good character ALWAYS comes to a sticky end. We have explored good characters and bad characters and how they act in stories. We have explored the dialogue between these characters. In maths, we have been looking at conversions with improper fractions and mixed numbers.

This week, the class will be; looking at the highs and lows of the Viking era in Britain, Looking at the power of words in E-Safety, exploring travel in French, looking at purse features as well as considering the story of the Red Crayon for the class’s No Outsiders work.

Maths – white sheet - budgeting
English – Asgard Poem and GAPS mat
Reading – daily at least 15 mins – remember to take the Acelerated Reader Quizzes
Rockstars – as much as possible 10 mins daily is ideal – at least once a week for 20 mins
Spellings – Mrs Riddell – Please learn them for the test on Wednesday. It is better to look at them for 5 minutes each day than try to learn them all in one night. The children remember them better learnt over the week.
Could the children please complete their homework in pencil or blue/black pen not felt tip.

(Homework can be handed it at anytime before Friday, the children know where the basket is)
