Yr 4 Looking Back and Forth Friday 3rd November 2023
Friday 3rd November– Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, has been a super first week back. The class have started to look at some new books in English. We discussed being famous and why people became famous and the reasons for fame. The children gave really interesting responses to the question. ‘Would you like to be famous?’ In maths, we looked at Roman numerals and started to explore rounding numbers to the nearest 10.
We hope you have a safe and happy weekend enjoying the fireworks.
Questions to ask at home -
- Would you like to be famous?
- What does altruistic mean?
- Can you name someone who is famous and altruistic?
- What can you tell me about Roman numerals?
Looking forward:
This next week; the children will be exploring states of matter in science, interviewing Reverend Christine, learning about the mountaineer George Mallory, looking at numbers in French, beginning to building mountain range dioramas and exploring the book King and King in No Outsiders.
