Yr 4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 4th October 2024
Friday 4th October – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, has been another exceptional week in Year 4. The class are working so hard to produce their work for the exhibition. They are so careful with their presentation. We really do hope you enjoy looking at their work. T This week the children have been publishing their Mallory biographies and in maths looking at Roman Numerals.
Questions to ask at home -
- Do you think Mallory reached the summit and why?
- What evidence have you got?
- What is an Arabic number?
- What is I V X L C in Roman Numerals?
- Can you tell me what happened in the chocolate experiment? Which chocolate melted first?
Children’s highlights of the week
- English writing my biography
- The chocolate experiments!
- Mr Few coming in to talk to us about his experiences in the Himalayas and Everest Base Camp
- Creating cobwebs for our Charlotte’s web back board
- Exploring the Mallory Mystery and the evidence

This week, the children will have more experiments as part of their states of matter. This time, it will be evaporation!
