Year 4 Looking Back and Forth - Friday 13th September
Friday 13th September – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, has been another fabulous week in Year 4. The class have impressed us with their focus and hard-working attitudes. It is such a brilliant start. In English, the children have learnt the word ‘altruistic’ and the definition. We started to look at a biography of Louie Braille. In maths, we have continued to work on place value with numbers to 10,000.
Questions to ask at home -
- What is does altruistic mean?
- What did Louis Braille invent?
- What can you tell me about Louis Braille?
Children’s highlights of the week
- P.E.
- Maths learning about thousands
- Music with Mrs B
- Colouring our lettering
- TTRockstars!
Looking forward:
This week, the children will be working on; music (The Hall of the Mountain King Grieg), exploring the climate of mountain, mountain art, states of matter (ice) as well as some research on the Himalayas.
