Reception looking back and forth week ending 8 July 2022

Hello everyone!

Another week has flown by and although I look forward to the summer holiday I don't like to wish this school year away. The children went to write in Year 1 this week in groups of 7 and all seemed to take it in their stride.  They wrote about hot air balloons. Ms Cummins was so pleased with them all and came in to share their writing with me and I am please to say they applied almost everything I have taught them in phonics!

In maths we have worked on doubling and halving and some children did work on number bonds to 10.

Sports Day was super and I was so proud of the class. There was such a great buzz and thank you for your support. The enjoyed their ice lollies today with their buddies.

Next week is Transision week and we will start it off with a hunt through The Bongs followed by a play in the paddock before we head back to school at 11:30 in time for lunch. Then we have a packed week of craft activities. Reading will take place as usual on Tuesday afternoon so please send in their reading bags and I will change books on Wednesday as usual.

Have a lovely weekend.
