Reception update week ending 20th October 2022

Hello all

Thank you for the support at our singing yesterday and today - lovely to see so many of you despite the rain.

This week has been an exciting one for us.

On Monday we had a talk by Nick Bishop who told us how he supports long distances runners in Kenya. He talked to the children about having a positive mindset and to believe you can do something if you want to. He shared stories of how these runners didn't let their financial or family situation stop them becoming professional runners.

The children visited the exhibition with their buddies on Wednesday morning. They had a play together afterwards.

This morning they had a session with a circus performer which they absolutely loved! He showed them juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking and ribbon dancing. Some of the children then made ribbon sticks to bring home. The children tried juggling with silk hankerchiefs and some walked on stilts.

The singing performance went so well I am so proud of them all.

This week we also managed some work and learnt new sounds ss,ff and ll.

I hope you all have a lovely holiday. Be safe.
