we 23rd June Year 1

Hi All,

The end of another busy and HOT week in school. The children have had a bit of an emotional rollercoaster this week. With the excitement of the South African children being in school, creating Rainbow kebabs, Roseday and the preparations for that and Miss Loh’s last week.

This week in English we will finished writing our instructions and will start to work on stories with a familiar setting.

In maths, the children looking at place value up to 100. Also they will explore fractions of shape and number.

Our highlights of the week are all Miss Loh based, as a HUGE thank you to all that she did for the class – Year 1 will miss her. We wish her all the luck for the future.

Don’t forget the reading challenge – so far we have had lots of children taking the challenge. Remember it has to be 14 days consecutive reading at home.
