we 30th September in Year 1

Hi All,

The Exhibition work is beginning to hot up now.

This week we are going to continue with our Literacy topic about ‘Lists, Captions and Labels’.  We are looking at the texts ‘Billy’s Bucket and ‘The Tin Forest’.  We are focusing on creating descriptive sentences.

In maths we will continue with our work on Counting and Place Value.  Making sure we are confident with our numbers up to 20 and beyond.  We are continue to look at teens and how they are made up, as well as looking at estimating.

In the afternoons continue with the topic ‘Our Body’ in science, we will be exploring our senses.

Also looking at old toys, thank you to all the parents who have already brought in fantastic old toys.

Also a special thank you to Mrs Hemmings, Mr and Mrs Hamilton and Mr Few for coming in and working with the children and helping get things ready for the Exhibition.
