Friday 9th June 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2

Looking back:

It has been a really busy week! Today we went to MOSI. We have had a wonderful day exploring the museum and lots of people commented on the good behaviour of the children. Well done everyone and thank you!

Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • Getting ready for Sports Day

  • Geography – getting excited about the arrival of the children from South Africa

Looking forward:

  • Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
  • Next half term PE will be on Friday. School PE kits should be worn.
  • A new English story
  • New topics in Science and History
  • Visitors from South Africa arrive on Tuesday
  • Father’s Day shop on Monday for Year 2 children. Please bring money into school in a named purse or envelope if you want your child to go.
  • Sports Day is 130pm on Friday. If possible your child should wear a t-shirt in their house colour with their PE shorts.

 

Homework

Reading –

please read regularly with your child at home using the books sent in their reading folder, plus any books from home that they enjoy. Ask questions about what they have read.
