Friday 1st December – Looking Back & Forth in Year 4
Looking back:
This week, the children have finished their mammoth biography writing. They have worked so hard on these pieces. We will be publishing next week. They’ve really been a labour of love. The children are rightly proud of them. In maths, the class have look at different methods of addition and subtraction to help with double checking answers.
Questions to ask at home -

Looking forward:
This next week, the class are going to learn something amazing that happened at Niagara Falls. There will be a few rehearsal getting ready for the junior carol service. The class will also be exploring the mountains of the British Isles as well as more micro-bits and modern climbers.
Homework in Year 4
Maths – pink sheet
English – GAPS mat and possessive pronouns
Reading – daily at least 15 mins – remember to take the Accelerated Reader Quizzes
Rockstars – as much as possible 10 mins daily is ideal – at least once a week for 20 mins
Spellings – Mrs Riddell – Please learn them for the test on Wednesday. It is better to look at them for 5 minutes each day than try to learn them all in one night. The children remember them better learnt over the week.
Could the children please complete their homework in pencil or blue/black pen not felt tip.
Timestables – for Friday – This week our new timestables will be x11 x3 x6 x18 timetables for 4 weeks – this will be week 4
(Homework can be handed it at anytime before Friday, the children know where the basket is)
