Y5 1.4.22 Weekly Update

Friday 1st April 2022 – Y5 Weekly Update

Looking back:

The residential trip to Burwardsley this week has been a lovely experience. The children were an absolute pleasure to take and their behaviour was outstanding. They were on the go for the whole three days and they threw themselves into the activities with wonderful enthusiasm. They worked so well together as a class, and had two good night’s sleep which was a bonus too!

Many thanks to the adults who accompanied the children and helped make it such a positive experience. I really appreciate the help of Mrs Cuttle, Mrs Flint, Mrs Cowell, Mrs Nicholson and Mrs Beardsworth. Residentials are a huge responsibility for staff, who are also volunteering to be away from their own families.

Year 5 – Pupils’ Highlights:

  • We loved Burwardsley!

Family discussion questions:

  • I’m sure the children will be telling you all about the activities they got up to on their brilliant residential.

Looking forward:

I’ve updated the list of topics we will be undertaking in the first half of the summer term.

PE Day will move to Tuesday next half-term.

I hope you have a lovely break and I look forward to seeing the children back on Tuesday 19th April.
