Y6 – Friday 1st February  2019 – Looking Back & Forth

Wild School Week

A special day is being planned for Monday 4th February.

Please send your child/children with wellington boots or a sturdy pair of shoes to change into at school.  School uniform should be worn as normal.

Thank you

Mrs Freeman

Looking back:

Over the last week, the pupils have been learning about where and when graffiti began, and how this came into popular culture during the latter part of the 20th Century.  In maths, they have continued with decimals, fractions and percentages whilst during the afternoon sessions, the class has enjoyed writing about North America, continuing with lessons on fossils and learning further information about the history of hats over 101 years.  They finished the week by teaching their buddies how to play “Beetle” in preparation for the PTA Beetle Drive next week.  What fun!

We are trying different ways to help families understand what we are learning in class and we are trying out our first mini-videos to help our pupils withl revision.  Do visit our gallery page and see our short videos about active and passive sentences.  We shall be looking for some of our pupils to “star” in these from next week.
