Looking back:
We have had a really busy week preparing for our Nativity Production and the children are working hard with their performance skills. We hope you enjoy watching them.
Year 2 – Pupils’ Highlights:

Family discussion/questions:
- What is division? Can you think of the other words you learned that also mean divide?
Looking forward:
- Reading books will be changed on Monday. Please ensure your child has their pack with them every day.
- Nativity practice and performances – please see the email sent home.

- The PTA Christmas Hamper raffle will be drawn on Tuesday and the winners will be contacted on Wednesday.
- Year 2 perform the Nativity Production for their parents on Thursday – please see the email sent home today.
Homework in Year 2
Please ensure all homework is completed and do let me know if you have any concerns
Maths: no specific homework this week to allow time for English.
English: practise your words for the Nativity. You need to be loud and clear and say with expression and big smile!
Spellings: no sheet as the quiz will be based on Year 2 words learned at school.
Please note: As we were practising all afternoon, I will collect last week’s homework on Monday.
Please read with your child every day. Many children are decoding their reading books well but find answering the comprehension questions much harder. We are working on this at school but it will really help if you can also ask questions during home question time. Please see our class page for further ideas (files section).
