Year 2 Looking Back and Forth
Friday 10th February 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 2
Looking back:
Thank you for another great week Year 2. In maths we have practised fluency in multiplication and division questions. In English the children used their knowledge of the Great Fire of London to begin to write a recount, learning how this is different to writing a fiction story. Phonics focused on how to spell accurately using the phonics rules learned so far. The children also enjoyed and experienced science, music, RE, PE, art and My Happy Mind.
Can you believe we are almost half way through Year 2!

Family discussion/questions:
Show your family how we work out multiply and divide by either 2,5 or 10. It will be different to how your parents were taught at school!
Looking forward:
- Reading books will be changed on Mondays. The reading folder is needed in school every day. Thank you.
- PE will be on Fridays. School PE kits should be worn (joggers and jumpers)
