Year 4 we 25th November

What an exciting week! Lots of our lessons were enjoyable but the highlight of the week was the trip to Manchester Museum where we studied the ancient Egyptians amongst other things.  The children really enjoyed building a pyramid out of foam blocks and, you never know, we might even be the fastest class - results are on the Manchester Museum website under Learning!  We were allowed to handle original artefacts and saw a real mummy - Asru - a rich lady who died thousands of years ago. We also had time to visit the other galleries in the museum briefly but we could have done with another couple of hours!  The children were well-behaved and it was a super visit.  Many thanks to the adults who gave up their time to accompany us - Mrs Goodwin, Mrs Warren, Mrs Hicks, Mrs Wilding, Mrs MacLeon, Mrs Horton and, of course, Mrs Matthews.

Thank you for all of the chocolate - it was a terrible temptation but I did manage to pass it all on to the PTA for the chocolate tombola for our Christmas Fair which is on FRIDAY!

IF ANYONE HAS ANY EMPTY PLASTIC BOTTLES - ANY SIZE - I WOULD BE REALLY GRATEFUL IF I COULD HAVE THEM FOR OUR WORK ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON - sorry, I don't think they will be worth returning afterwards though - THANK YOU!

Have a great week and hope to see lots of you on Friday.

Mrs Cooper
