Year 4 we 6th October

Another busy week has come to an end and we have achieved a great deal as usual!  Mrs Cowell shared her expertise which allowed children to create some lovely woven pieces for the Exhibition - make sure you look at our backboard when the time comes. The children were also busy composing music also for the Exhibition with Mrs Benson.  We looked at teeth in science (this will continue next week) and we learnt about ice hockey from two professional players in Friday assembly - and this is just a few of our highlights!

Next week we will be looking at standard written methods for addition and subtraction in maths and we will be writing diary entries in our Engish lessons.  I have an interesting activity planned using both art and computing skills - if anyone has any small toy boats/ships etc we could borrow, I'd be grateful if children could bring them in to school early next week (nothing precious though please).

Please don't forget to send in photos on the theme of water and also children's sea creatures need to be in school before the Exhibition.  It's Harvest assembly too - there's a list of items in this week's newsletter that would be useful if you would like to contribute to this.

Enjoy the weekend and next week.
