Year 6 - Week in Review - Friday 10th March 2017

Year 6 – Week in review – Friday 10th March 2017

It’s been another interesting time in Year 6 this week. Lots of different activities being carried out and we’ve been really busy.

We’ve completed some assessments with Mrs. Timmins this week, before spending some time looking at some particularly vibrant images of street art involving wild creatures on car parks, marionettes, animals in clubs and stunning facial imagery – all on the sides of buildings and various urban areas.

In maths, we’ve been looking at finding different formulae to help up solve problems – challenging at times, but we persevered.

Monday, saw Mr. Capewell join us once more and we practised our rugby skills again – we’re getting really good at this game! Mrs. Cowell has been leading us through topics including The Titanic – looking at different classes for different passengers. We’ve also been really sensible when learning about drugs education in science and finally, we’ve been continuing our history of hats with Mrs. Benson, looking at developing our timelines.

We’re really enjoying our class novel “Rooftoppers”, though we’ve reached a really crucial part. Will Charles and Sophie really leave for……………………………….(no, that would be telling!)

Finally, we’d like to thank parents and families who came to share and enjoy the work we have been doing in class at our book evening. We’ll look forward to chatting with you all at our parents’ evenings next week.

Have a lovely weekend.

The Year 6 Team.
