Y6 – Friday 10th November 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6

Looking back:
What an eventful week we have enjoyed. Our pupils have almost completed our class book “Shackleton’s Journey” and have really enjoyed working on this for English. Maths has seen us consolidate our knowledge of a range of number questions too. Our afternoon work has involved a diverse range of subjects and topics including reading and working on “My Princess Boy” as part of our No Outsiders work; we have been and collected autumnal leaves and used these to practise our knowledge and skills of branching databases (love the pun!); we have worked on Bible stories in RE; decorated snowmen with our buddies and enjoyed playing outside with them; as well as so many other things in class.

- Which Bible stories did you read and work on?
Looking forward:
- We are looking forward to completing a piece of writing based on Shackleton’s Journey alongside finishing our book and finding out what eventually happened to our characters. We shall begin to shift focus in maths with a fresh look at fractions. All other subjects will continue too.
