Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 16th September 2022

Y6 – Friday 16th September 2022 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6

Looking back:

Our first full week of really getting into the learning for our Exhibition has seen us finding out about the amazing mathematician Katherine Johnson and finding out about the amazing achievements in her life.  We still have some learning to go but we already are amazed by her.  Maths has seen us juggling expertly with numbers up to 10,000,000.  We have begun a new programme in class called “My Happy Mind” which is helping us to get to know how our amazing brains work, and how to keep them happy and healthy.  Sorting ‘Liquorice Allsorts’ on Wednesday afternoon was a fun activity though hard not to munch on them!  Purple Mash is a great way to use ICT in the classroom and we enjoyed looking at branching databases.  Thankfully, the weather was good to us whilst we investigated what lived in our school pond.  It’s been a super week.  Lots of new photos to enjoy - please click on our "Display Work Items" page below.  Thank you.
