Y6 – Friday 1st December 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6
Looking back:
Hard to believe that December has arrived this week but we are really enjoying our time in Year 6 so that must be why it’s flying so quickly. We have turned our attention to newspaper writing this week and we’ve been working on fractions too. Our week has seen us look at our characters and consider our strengths: we have designed our own name “tags” and these are now proudly displayed in class. There is a window ledge that is also displaying mushrooms! See our weekly questions for tips on finding out more about why! South African biomes have been studied this week and we continue with all other learning including RE, PE, French and – of course – buddies.

Looking forward:
- We are looking to complete our news reports and we will be continuing to work on fractions. We will be continuing with our learning as we head towards the end of term but we will still enjoy our usual curriculum ahead of our upcoming break. Christmas service rehearsals are beginning to come together and we are now selling our raffle tickets for the class hampers. £1.00 per strip of 5 tickets – pupils can buy these at lunchtimes from Mrs Timmins or Mrs Cowell.
