Year 6 - Looking Back and Forth - Friday 9th June 2023

Y6 – Friday 9th June 2023 – Looking Back & Forth in Year 6

Looking back:

Lovely to see our pupils back this week to begin their final half term here as a pupil at Goostrey.  This week we have completed our writing about “How to Steal Back an Emerald” and we are close to finishing our current book “The Good Thieves”.  Our White Rose Bakery work has also been completed and hopefully, we’ll be testing the cooking skills of the class very shortly.  Our science focus this week involved a very sensible discussion around the theme of what exactly is a “drug”.  We’ve squeezed in some French cricket and on Friday, we enjoyed an extra sports lesson where we tried out for the upcoming sports day (next Friday 16th).  We completed our maths a day early so we focused on an alternative lesson that involved maths, reading, spelling, logic and common sense where we looked at the questions from “The 1% Club”.  This was really popular and proved really tricky in some cases!

Please keep your eyes on this page for lots of upcoming information before your child leaves us for pastures new – thank you.
